Frequently asked questions
What is Aussie Search?
Aussie Search is a free search app for Australia. It shows listings published on our own apps first, then adds results from OpenStreetMap, Wikipedia, data.gov.au and Australian websites collected by our polite crawler.
Is Aussie Search free?
Yes. It is free and no account is needed.
Where do the results come from?
Our own apps (such as Local Aus, Australia Web, AusStay, Our Faith, opencare.help, Therapies.place, Massage Therapy Place and BeautyTherapy), plus OpenStreetMap, Wikipedia, data.gov.au and Australian websites. Every result links to its source. See About & credits for the open-data licences.
What is AussieSearchBot?
AussieSearchBot is our polite web crawler for Australian websites. Website owners can opt out at any time; see the crawler page for details.
Do you track me or sell my data?
No. We don't sell data or show tracking ads. Voice search uses your browser's built-in speech service. Feedback you send is stored only so we can improve the app.
Can I use it in my language?
Yes. Tap the 🌐 language button to choose English, 中文, Tiếng Việt, العربية, हिन्दी, Español, Italiano or Ελληνικά, among others.
How do I contact you?
Email [email protected] or use the feedback button in the app.
